BBQ Sauce Recipe

This bbq sauce recipe is quick and easy. It is tomato based, using ketchup as the primary ingredient.

Ingredients:

• 4 onions
• 1/2 bunch celery
• 2 bell peppers
• 4 cloves garlic
• 1 cup vegetable oil
• 1 gallon ketchup
• 1/2 gallon water
• 5 lemons, juice only
• 4 tablespoons chili powder
• salt and pepper
• 1/2 small bottle Worcestershire sauce
• 1/2 ounce mustard
• 1/2 bottle liquid Barbecue Smoke®
• 1 cup brown sugar

Directions:

Chop onion, celery, bell pepper and garlic.

In a 5 gallon pot, saute these ingredients in oil until transparent.

Add all remaining ingredients. Mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a very low temperature and cook uncovered for approximately three hours stirring often.

Sauce can be used immediately. Store remaining sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
