Easy Shrimp Pizza

This easy shrimp pizza is sure to please ALL shrimp lovers. It is quick and easy to prepare, and by purchasing a pre-made pizza crust even quicker.

We prefer to make our dough from scratch...heck, that is the point of this entire website, but we also have kids and know how busy all of our lives can get. So, whether you make this pizza with a scratch dough and fresh shrimp, or choose to use frozen shrimp and a store bought pizza crust...shrimp lovers will make this pizza again and again.

The recipe is made from scratch and incorporates fresh shrimp. Substitute a bottled cocktail sauce purchased from the grocery store, frozen shrimp, and a pre-made pizza crust like Boboli and this recipe can be put together in a matter of minutes.

Ingredients:

• 1 Tbs Olive Oil
• 1/3 Cup Cocktail Sauce *
• 8 oz Diced Cooked Shrimp
• 1 1/2 Cups Grated Mozzarella Cheese
• Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Lightly saute shrimp in olive oil
2. Spread cocktail sauce evenly over pizza crust
3. Layer mozzarella cheese and cooked shrimp evenly over pizza
4. Bake in 450 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.

* For a spicy twist, mix a small amount to taste of horseradish with the cocktail sauce before spreading it over pizza crust

Frozen, pre-cooked shrimp is available at stores. For example, Costco sells a bag of shrimp that are also de-viened at an economical price. If using frozen shrimp be sure to thaw and drain shrimp well. Removing the moisture will prevent a soggy pizza.
