Thus, the next time you attempt making a tasty pizza it should be a breeze for you. You can even share how to make dough with your friends and family. Secrets of How to Make Dough Almost all doughmakers will tell you that one of the secrets in making the best pizza dough recipe is the use of yeast. Not only does it help the basic pizza dough rise until it is double its size, but it also makes the dough lighter and, yes, tastier; yeast certainly adds flavor to the basic pizza dough. In any homemade pizza recipe, yeast should only be mixed with warm water as too cold or too hot water can easily kill the yeast, flattening what should have been a perfect yet easy pizza crust. Of course, you may forego this injunction if you are using the instant yeast variety. Preparing the Quick Pizza Dough Pizza making is best done if all of your pizza ingredients are prepared beforehand. This will save you time and effort as you won't have to look all over your kitchen for certain pizza equipment like pizza pans, pizza spatula and the pizza cutter. Thus, before you bake your homemade style pizza, have everything ready for you and place all of your pizza equipment where you can easily reach for them. Next, prepare all of your dry ingredients. These include your active dry yeast (one one-fourth ounce package), salt (about three fourths to one and one fourths of a teaspoon), and pizza flour or bread flour (three and a half cups). Prepare your wet ingredients, and these are warm water for your yeast (one cup) and extra virgin olive oil (thee tablespoons). Step-by-Step Process Before you make pizza crust, make sure that you have preheated your brick oven or ordinary oven to about 350 degrees. With preheated brick oven, pizza will be baked evenly. First, pour the warm water in your mixing bowl and add in the yeast, mixing it until it dissolves. For about five minutes, let the yeast rest before you mix in the salt. Gently shake it. Then, pour in two and a half cups of your flour into the mixing bowl before mixing in the olive oil. Mix well for about two minutes before adding in the last cup of flour. Knead thoroughly until the dough no longer sticks to the mixing bowl. You can also add in some pizza spices and herbs to make the mixture more flavorful. Note, the act of adding spices and herbs into any recipe for pizza dough has long been done by ancient civilizations and the others that came after them. Finally, take your dough out of the mixing bowl and place it in an oiled bowl, making sure to turn it once so that the other side can be coated with oil, too, before you cover it up with a dish towel to let the dough rise. You can keep it in the refrigerator overnight and take the frozen pizza dough out one to two hours before you have to use it. Your frozen pizza should be at room temperature before putting your pizza toppings on it and baking it. Find other helpful methods on how to make dough throughout our website.
