Pizza Sauce Recipe

This pizza sauce recipe only takes 20 minutes to prepare, and uses ingredients most likely already in your pantry. The classic ingredients give this recipe an authentic flavor.

Substitute fresh herbs for the dried to add a "punch" to the sauce.

Ingredients:

• 1 Can Tomato Sauce, (16 ounce)
• Tomato Paste, 6 ounce can
• 2 Tbs Olive Oil
• 1 clove minced garlic
• 1/2 medium onion, minced
• 2 teaspoons sugar
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1 teaspoon dried basil
• 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
• 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:

1. Saute minced onion and garlic in olive oil until transparent and tender
2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes
3. This should provide enough sauce for 2 pizza's. Store in refrigerator for a week, or freeze indefinitely.
