Pizza: The Perfect Food
Pizza is quite possibly the world’s perfect food! It is eaten and loved by both young and old alike, women like it as well as men, it slices through religious and racial backgrounds, and has no cultural bounds. It is eaten in every country of the world…well I don’t know that this is completely true, but I do know that the Japanese prefer squid as a topping, Russians prefer topping their's with a mixture of sardines, tuna, mackerel, salmon and onions, and green peas are popular in Brazil. I also know that our website receives visitors from all around the world. Visitors from Spain, Turkey, Sweden, Poland, Cyprus, and Indonesian to name but a few visit homemade-pizza-made-easy.com everyday to learn more about making homemade pizza and finding recipes for dough and sauce. It is served both hot or cold, and is therefore perfect whether rain or shine. It is as delicious on Sundays as it is on Wednesdays, and is eaten for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some of us prefer thick crust, some prefer thin crust, there are those that worship deep-dish, and a following that loves stuffed-pizza as well. The list of toppings and their combinations is limited only by ones imagination, and can easily be customized to meet your tastes preferences or those of friends and family. This perfect food gets a bad rap among the health conscious crowd. But in its basic form there is nothing inherently unhealthy about this delightful concoction. Flour, water, salt, and yeast are the basics to create a great tasting, low fat crust, and a simple sauce can be easily made using fresh tomatoes, garlic, spices, and fresh herbs. Piling mounds of high fat proteins such as sausage and pepperoni on top will not make a healthy meal…but piling them on top of lettuce is not healthy either. It can be served as an entrée, as a side dish, or as an appetizer. It goes well with soda, or beer, a glass of milk, or a fine wine.
