One of my favorite pizza’s uses a garlic sauce combined with a thin crust and shrimp. The garlic sauce is a great compliment to the shrimp…think of Shrimp Scampi, and the thinner crust does not take away from the delicate flavors. A thicker crust might overpower this pizza.

The type of crust you select will have some determination as to the amount of sauce and toppings that you add to your pizza. A thick crust, or deep-dish pizza holds up better with a large amount of sauce and toppings. Whereas with a thin crust pizza, lightly covering with sauce and a minimal amount of toppings compliment this crust much better.
