This White Sauce is a starter sauce for many others

Here is an unusual sauce for pizza, a white sauce. For all of you chefs, this would be similar to a Bechamel Sauce or basic white sauce...start by making a roux, then add milk.

The great thing about this sauce is the number of different sauces that you can create...it is the starting point for dozens of other sauces.

For example, melt grated cheddar cheese to create a Cheese Sauce...

Ingredients:

• 1 Tbs Butter
• 1/3 Cup Flour
• 2 Cups Milk
• 1/2 Tsp Salt
• 1/2 Tsp Pepper
• 1/8 Tsp Garlic Powder
• 1/8 Tsp Onion Powder

Directions:

1. Melt butter over medium heat
2. Add flour and whisk until combine and free of lumps
3. Turn heat to high, and gradually stir in milk
4. Add remaining ingredients
5. Bring to a boil stirring constantly
